FORT MYERS, Fla. (AP) _ Ramon Martinez retired just five batters, allowing seven runs and eight hits in 1 2-3 innings Monday as the Minnesota Twins beat the Boston Red Sox 7-4 for just their second win in nine games. Minnesota's first four batters got hits, with Cristian Guzman hitting a two-run homer. Nomar Garciaparra and Mike Stanley homered off Eric Milton in the bottom half, pulling the Red Sox to 3-2, but Minnesota scored four more runs off Martinez in the second. Martinez, the older brother of fellow Red Sox pitcher Pedro Martinez, dropped to 2-1 this spring. His ERA rose from 1.50 to 5.83. Jacque Jones went 3-for-3 with a double, two runs scored and an RBI, and Midre Cummings went 2-for-3 with an RBI and two runs scored. Guzman was 2-for-3 with two RBIs. Milton allowed two runs and four hits in five innings, improving to 2-1. Carl Everett hit a solo homer in the sixth.
