FORT MYERS, Fla. (AP) _ Brad Fullmer had a go-ahead, two-run single _ his first hit for Toronto _ as the Blue Jays overcame a pair of Corey Koskie homers to beat the Minnesota Twins 3-2 Sunday in a game shortened to 5 1/2 innings because of rain.

Shannon Stewart, who extended his hitting streak to nine, drove in Toronto's first run. Fullmer, acquired from Montreal in a three-way trade that sent David Segui to Texas, followed with a bloop single to right.

``Any time you get two strikes on you with runners in scoring position, you have got to battle it,'' Fullmer said. ``I'm glad it dropped in.''

Fullmer has played two games with the Blue Jays since the trade and is impressed by what he's seen.

``I didn't realize the youth of the team and its talent,'' he said. ``This team almost made the wild-card last season and should make postseason this year.''

Twins starter Brad Radke, the subject of trade speculation all spring, pitched four scoreless innings, then allowed three runs in the fifth. Still, his spring ERA dropped from 8.00 to 7.07.

``I didn't feel as good as my last start,'' said Radke, who gave up eight hits. ``But I kept the ball down.''

Toronto starter Kelvim Escobar made his third appearance of the spring, allowing one run and two hits in three innings.

``I happy with my mechanics, and my delivery are both coming together,'' Escobar said. ``I'm now able to throw the pitches I want to.''

Winner Billy Koch allowed a fourth-inning homer to Koskie. Eric Gunderson pitched a hitless inning for the save.

Notes: Toronto SS Alex Gonzalez played for the first time since Aug. 9, when he strained a quad muscle in his right leg. After he recovered from the injury, he came down with flu. ... The Blue Jays are off Monday. When they play the Yankees on Tuesday, Darrin Fletcher is to catch his first game since knee surgery on Feb. 28.
