WINTER HAVEN, Fla. (AP) _ Jim Thome, Richie Sexson and David Justice homered off John Burkett in a four-pitch span during the sixth inning Friday to lead the Cleveland Indians over the Tampa Bay Devils Rays 4-3.

Matt Nokes, trying to break back into the major leagues for the first time since 1995, added his fourth big hit in three days. Nokes hit two home runs in Cleveland's ``B'' game Wednesday against Kansas City and had a three-run double Thursday night against Detroit in a split squad game.

Thome hit his first home run of spring training to left-center field, and Sexson's homer two pitches later landed in nearly the same spot.

Justice sent the next pitch sailing over the center-field wall for his first homer of the spring.

The 36-year-old Nokes, who spent the last two seasons in the independent Northern League, homered in the third off Steve Trachsel.

Indians starter Charles Nagy allowed one hit in four shutout innings. Chris Haney followed, allowing RBI singles by Miguel Cairo and Bubba Trammell.

Gerald Williams had an RBI single in the seventh for Tampa Bay.

Paul Shuey got the save with a perfect ninth.

Notes: The Indians signed C Einar Diaz to a one-year contract and renewed the contract of 1B Richie Sexson. They were the final two players in camp who had not yet signed. ... Cleveland All-Star right fielder Manny Ramirez sat out Friday's game with sore legs. He could return as soon as Saturday.
