WINTER HAVEN, Fla. (AP) _ Richie Sexson drove in four runs with a home run and a double as the Cleveland Indians routed the Yankees 15-1 Monday, dropping New York to 0-5 this spring.

The World Series champions have been outscored 49-16 and have not held a lead in any game this year.

Sexson's second spring-training homer came in the fourth off reliever Mike Buddie. He added a two-run double during an eight-run fifth.

Jaret Wright pitched two hitless innings in his spring debut. Wright, trying to hang on to the fifth spot in the Indians starting rotation, needed just 18 pitches to retire his six batters.

``Even though it's spring training, you like facing good teams, and it's still the Yankees,'' Wright said. ``It's always good to skate by that first one and get it out of the way.''

Roberto Alomar singled twice and hit a two-run home run off starter David Cone, who allowed three runs in 2 2-3 innings.

New York scored its only run on Juan Melo's RBI triple in the third. Melo also had two singles.

Cleveland's big fifth inning included a bases-loaded walk to Jim Thome, Sexson's two-run double, two-run singles by Mark Whiten and Einar Diaz and an RBI hit by Omar Vizquel.

Notes: Indians manager Charlie Manuel, released from Winter Haven Hospital on Sunday, is not expected to return to the club until Wednesday. Manuel, 56, had emergency colon surgery on Feb. 28. ... Yankees center fielder Bernie Williams did not make the trip due to a sore calf. ... Former Indians infielder Carlos Baerga, released last week by Tampa Bay, said he may sign a minor league contract with Cleveland. ... Cleveland signed utility infielder Enrique Wilson to a one-year contract. The move leaves Sexson and Einar Diaz as the only unsigned players in Cleveland's camp.
