LEXINGTON, Ky - Najran, who went off at 6-1 odds, won the 151st running of the six-furlong Phoenix in 1:08.32 for trainer Nick Zito.

The 4-year-old son of Runaway Groom, ridden by Javier Castellano, paid $14, $5.60 and $7.20. Owner Mahmoud Fustok said Najran will run next in the BC Sprint.

Najran drove clear from Ethan Man in the stretch after stalking the leaders for most of the race.

Ethan Man paid $9 to place and show. Take Achance On Me, a 66-1 long shot, was third and paid $12.80.
