![]() on ESPN.com | Frankel gets Banks Hill Bill Finley Special to ESPN.com Bobby Frankel's mighty contingent of Breeders' Cup starters has gotten mightier. According to the Racing Post, owner Khalid Abdullah has transferred Banks Hill, the winner of last year's Breeders' Cup Filly & Mare Turf, to Frankel, who will replace French trainer Andre Fabre. Banks Hill made her last start for Fabre in last Saturday's Yellow Ribbon at Santa Anita, where she finished a non-threatening third. Rather than shipping back to Europe, she stayed in California and joined Frankel's stable. "It was nothing against Andre Fabre or anything like that, Teddy Beckett, racing manager to Abdullah, told the Racing Post. "It was done from a convenience point of view and at the recommendation of Andre." Said Fabre: "It was a bit complicated to bring her back from France then travel again. I was sorry to see her go but that is life. I will miss her as she was a very good filly and she had a wonderful attitude." Frankel is 1-for-42 in Breeders' Cup races, but will attack Arlington Park with both quantity and quality as he has top contenders for several Breeders' Cup races.
