1. Mount St. Charles HS (Woonsocket, R.I.) - (14-0-0) *1
The Mounties posted a pair of shutouts this weekend against St. Raphael High and Bishop Hendricken High. Matt Byrnes scored twice and assisted on another, while Corey Goglia, Brian Bailey and Pat Foley all found the back of the net. Stephen Snizek dished out three assists.
2. Elk River HS (Elk River, Minn.) - (16-1-1) *2
A pair of hat tricks from Chris Nathe and Brandon Longley helped Elk River rip Anoka High, 6-1. Kelly Prude assisted on three goals. Elk River also blanked Champlin Park High, 6-0.
3. Detroit Catholic Central HS (Redford, Mich.) - (13-0-2) *4
Brett John's three goals and one assist enabled Catholic Central to rout one of the better teams in Michigan, Grosse Pointe North High, 6-2.
4. Academy of Holy Angels (Richfield, Minn.) - (16-2-1) *3
Holy Angels dropped a 2-1 decision to Red Wing High, which cost the team a slight drop in the rankings. But the squad did hammer Northfield High, 9-3, with both Rob Rankin and Tyler Howells scoring a pair of goals.
5. Arlington HS (Arlington, Mass.) - (11-1-1) *5
Arlington remains in the No. 5 spot nationally and leads the Greater Boston I Conference with an 8-0-1 league record.
6. White Bear Lake HS (White Bear Lake, Minn.) - (15-3-1) *7
Sparked by goals from Dustin Mercado and Lance Malark, White Bear Lake shut out Stillwater High, 2-0.
7. Jefferson HS (Bloomington, Minn.) - (17-3-0) *8
Jefferson stayed on the winning track with a pair of victories this past week. Matt Duncan beat the goalie twice while Nick Johnson netted two assists in a 5-3 win over Eagan High. Brian Johnson scored two times and Jeff Rysavy added two assists as Jefferson also dropped Chaska High, 6-1.
8. Armstrong HS (Robbinsdale, Minn.) - (18-1-1) *6
After breaking into the Top 10 last week without a loss, Armstrong fell for the first time this season, to Minnetonka High. Armstrong held a 4-1 lead after one period but couldn't hold off Minnetonka. However, four different players scored in a 4-1 victory over Edina High.
9. University School (Milwaukee, Wis.) - (16-1-0) *9
The U School won the most exciting game of the weekend, a 5-4 four-overtime thriller over Mosinee High. The victory gave the U School the championship of the Northland Pine Tournament. Also this week, University dismantled Sheboygan High, 8-2.
10. Catholic Memorial HS (Boston, Mass.) - (9-2-1) *10
Catholic Memorial remains in the No. 10 spot nationally while clinging to a first-place tie in the Catholic Conference with Boston College High. Both teams are 6-1-0 in conference play.
