Outlook: DeSagana Diop posted a triple-double against Rice with 11 points, 16 boards and 10 blocked shots, while Billy Edelin followed up a 21-point performance with 25. Rashaad Carruth added 23 in the championship game. Diop scored 16 points, grabbed eight boards and blocked two shots vs. Durango.

Outlook: Daniel Ewing was in double figures in both wins, scoring 15 points against Eisenhower and 27 in the victory over North Shore. Andrew Watson had a double-double with 24 points and 15 rebounds against North Shore, while T.J. Ford contributed 10 assists and 10 steals.

Outlook: Cedric Bozeman scored 17 points and center Jamal Sampson grabbed 12 boards against Carlsbad, which only trailed by one point with three minutes left in the third quarter. Bozeman added 15 points and six boards, while sophomore Harrison Schaen scored 12 points against Parkview Baptist. Senior guard Travis Gabler, the team's top 3-point threat, underwent emergency surgery for what is believed to be appendicitis.
4. Vashon HS (St. Louis, Mo.) - (6-0) *6
Last week: Beat Christian Brothers College High, 77-56, and defeated Sumner High.
Upcoming: Dec. 22 vs. Farragut Academy (Ill.).
Outlook: Jimmy McKinney, a 6-foot-3 junior, led the team with 20 points, while 6-foot-8 Nicholas Kern added 15 in the win over CBC. Senior guard Jesse Atkins connected on four 3-pointers to account for all 12 of his points vs. CBC.
5. St. Vincent-St. Mary HS (Akron, Ohio) - (5-0) *7
Last week: Beat Detroit Redford High (Mich.), 45-40, at the Pizza Hut Showcase; defeated Case Racine High, 93-41.
Upcoming: Dec. 19 vs. Central Catholic High.
Outlook: The Fighting Irish picked up their 32nd straight win with a 45-40 victory over one of the top teams in Michigan, Detroit Redford. Darrell Evans led the way against Redford with 20 points, while sophomore Lebron James added 16 points and six rebounds for the winners.
6. DeMatha Catholic HS (Hyattsville, Md.) - (7-0) *8
Last week: Defeated Canton McKinley High (Ohio), 62-48, in the Hoops for Healing Classic in Canton; beat Paul VI High, 42-40.
Upcoming: Dec. 19 at Bishop McNamara High.
Outlook: Junior forward Travis Garrison recorded a double-double with 15 points and 16 rebounds against McKinley. Corey McRae hit a 19-footer as time expired for the game-winner against Paul VI.
7. De La Salle HS (Concord, Calif.) - (3-0) *12

Upcoming: Dec. 19-22 at Iolani Classic (Hawaii).
Outlook: De La Salle is taking it easy in the early going, knocking off all three opponents in the Chris Vontoure Classic two weeks ago. Next up, the Spartans take their game to Hawaii for the Iolani Classic.

Last week: Cruised past Atherton High, 87-46.

Outlook: Forward Larry O'Bannon scored 19 points against Atherton, which entered the contest at 1-4. The Bulldogs forced 26 turnovers in the game.

Outlook: One week after being arrested, along with teammate James Pulliam, for allegedly beating up another student in a hallway outside the principal's office, star guard Dajuan Wagner poured in 36 points and dished out six assists in the win over Eastern. Transfer Eric Davis scored 19 points and grabbed 10 boards, while Pulliam scored 10.
12. Midwest City HS (Midwest City, Okla.) - (4-0) *17
Last week: Pounded Edmund Memorial High, 85-61, and defeated Bishop McGuinness High, 87-78.
Upcoming: Dec. 27 vs. St. Patrick's High (N.J.) in the Slam Dunk to the Beach Tournament in Lewes, Del.
Outlook: Junior forward Shelden Williams scorched Bishop McGuinness for 37 points and helped mount a comeback victory after the team trailed, 46-44, at the break. Williams and DeAngelo Alexander combined for 44 points against Edmund Memorial.
13. Berkmar HS (Lilburn, Ga.) - (6-0) *18
Last week: Beat Chattahoochee High, 83-59, and Stephenson High, 79-54.
Upcoming: Dec. 19-23 at City of Palms Classic (Ft. Myers, Fla.); Dec. 26-30 at Slam Dunk to the Beach Tournament (Lewes, Del.).
Outlook: Shawn Ipka was the offensive star for the Patriots over their last two games, scoring 21 points against previously undefeated Chattahoochee and contributing 22 points and 14 rebounds in the win over Stephenson. Berkmar makes its second consecutive trip to the City of Palms Classic and will square off against Lakeland Kathleen High (Fla.) Dec. 20. The Patriots lost to Dillard High (Fla.), 76-70, in the opening round of this tournament last year.

Outlook: Senior guard Chris Thomas keeps shooting the lights out. He scored 27 points and grabbed nine rebounds in the win over Carmel. Justin Cage also hauled down nine boards.

Last week: Beat Ridgeway High, 62-60, and Kirby High, 81-56.
Upcoming: Dec. 27 at the Arby's Basketball Classic in Bristol, Tenn.
Outlook: Senior Ernest Shelton, who has committed to the University of Alabama, poured in 24 points in the win over Ridgeway. The game was tied three times in the fourth quarter, but White Station never trailed.

Last week: Lost to Neptune High, 79-70; defeated Bishop Francis High, 72-65, in the Hoop Group Tip-Off Classic.

Outlook: Marcus Austin (6-foot-9) is out indefinitely, probably until at least January, with mononucleosis. Senior Sam Lake led the team with 21 points in the win over Bishop Francis, while Terry Hill added 16 points and hauled down 13 boards. Sophomore Michael Nardi scored 15 points in the loss to Neptune.
17. Montrose Christian School (Rockville, Md.) - (2-1) *9
Last week: Idle - suffered loss the previous week to Coastal Christian High (Va.), 66-64.
Upcoming: Dec. 19-22 at the Iolani Classic (Hawaii).
Outlook: Levi Watkins is averaging 25 points per game and picking up the slack since fellow big man Harvey Thomas withdrew from the school.

Last week: Survived an 89-87 triple-overtime scare against St. Dominic's High; lost to Bishop Loughlin High, 77-66, in the Diane Brennan Invitational.
Upcoming: Dec. 19-23 at City of Palms Classic in Fort Myers, Fla.
Outlook: With guard Julius Hodge held to just 14 points, St. Raymond's suffered its first loss of the season to Bishop Loughlin. Chris McRae was St. Ray's high scorer, finishing with 23. Hodge erupted for 33 points, 13 boards and five blocks in the win over St. Dominic's.

Outlook: Besides playing in the always popular Faculty/Alumni game, the Comets did nothing but prepare for the upcoming grueling national tournament in Florida.

Upcoming: Dec. 18-21 at the Les Schwab Invitational (Portland, Ore.).
Outlook: The Dons took a week off to prepare for two big holiday tournaments, the Les Schwab Invitational before Christmas and the Slam Dunk Tournament after Christmas. This team has so many weapons it's scary. Junior forward Bobby Jones is starting to come into his own.
22. Germantown Academy (Fort Washington, Pa.) - (8-1) *23
Last week: Beat Archbishop Carroll High, 53-42; defeated St. Joe's Prep, 65-59; pounded Abington Friends High, 64-34.
Upcoming: Dec. 19 vs. Bishop McDevitt High.
Outlook: Carroll proved to be a much tougher opponent than 1-6 Abington Friends, as the Patriots walked away with a 64-34 win in that one. Lee Melchionni and Matt Walsh combined for 36 in the win over Archbishop Carroll.
23. Dillard HS (Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.) - (6-1) *4
Last week: Beat St. Thomas Aquinas High, 81-75; lost to Boyd Anderson High, 81-73.
Upcoming: Dec. 19-23 at City of Palms Classic in Fort Myers, Fla.
Outlook: The Panthers' loss to Boyd Anderson snapped their 30-game winning streak. The loss came after they rallied with a 29-point fourth quarter to edge St. Thomas Aquinas.

Upcoming: Dec. 21 vs. Thornridge High; Dec. 27 at the State Farm Holiday Classic in Normal, Ill.
Outlook: The Thunderbirds bounced back with a vengeance after suffering their only defeat at the hands of Tyson Chandler and No. 21 Dominguez High (Calif.) two weeks ago.
