STOCK UP

•The Minnesota Twins have won 10 straight games but have gained little ground as the Tigers and White Sox have been very hot too.

•The Red Sox are 14-1 in their last 15 games.

•Portland and Chicago were among my winners on NBA draft night.

•Germany, Italy, Portugal and France are in the Final Four of the World Cup.

•Oregon State won the Division I baseball championship by beating North Carolina.

STOCK DOWN

•Venus Williams and Andy Roddick didn't make it to week two at Wimbledon, both being shocked. With sister Serena injured, there will be no Williams in the Wimbledon final for the first time since 1999.

•Brazil, Argentina and England were all sent packing in the World Cup quarterfinals.

•The Knicks picked Renaldo Balkman of South Carolina at pick 20 of round one. Isiah Thomas claimed Phoenix was going to pick him at 21, but the Suns denied that and New York got a second round player too early.

•Several top cyclists were ruled out of the Tour de France in a doping scandal.

•The St. Louis Cardinals, even with a win on Sunday, are 2-10 in their last 12 games.
