STOCK UP
• The Miami Heat won the NBA championship after falling behind 0-2 to the Mavs. Dwyane Wade led Miami to four straight wins.
• The Carolina Hurricanes won the Stanley Cup championship, beating the Edmonton Oilers in seven games.
• Jose Contreras has now won 16 straight decisions for the White Sox.
• Roger Clemens came back to the majors and pitched well in his first start, though he did suffer the loss.
• Tom Glavine is 11-2 overall and 9-0 in his last 11 starts for the Mets.
• The Red Sox have won eight straight games to stay in front of the Yankees.
• The Tigers are 9-1 in their last 10 games to stay in front of the hot White Sox.
STOCK DOWN
•USA soccer did not win a game at the World Cup, sent home after going 0-2-1.
•The Knicks did not handle the Larry Brown situation very well. In fact, it was a mess.
•Ozzie Guillen had a controversial week, but he is a flat-out winner as a manager leading the White Sox.
•The Pittsburgh Pirates have lost 11 straight games.
•The Cardinals were swept by the Tigers. Tony LaRussa's team has lost six in a row.
•The Braves are 5-21 in their last 26 games.
