STOCK UP

The Miami Heat won two straight in New Jersey to take a 3-1 lead over the Nets.

The San Diego Padres have been hot, winning 14 of their last 15 games.

The Philadelphia Phillies have also been on fire, winning 13 of their last 14 games, and moved to within one game of the first-place New York Mets.

American Justin Gatlin set a new world record in the 100 meters (9.76).

Rafael Nadal tied the Open era record with his 53rd straight clay-court win, but he worked hard to get it. Nadal needed more than five hours to beat Roger Federer in the Masters Series Rome final.

The Anaheim Mighty Ducks' Joffrey Lupul scored all four of his team's goals in an overtime win over the Colorado Avalanche in Game 3 of the Western Conference semifinals.

STOCK DOWN

Clifford Robinson of the Nets got a five-game suspension for violating he NBA's drug policy. Not a good time for the Nets to receive that news.

Mark Cuban was fined $200,000 for his on-court and off-court actions.

The Chicago Cubs are 1-12 in their last 13 games.

The Cleveland Indians have lost six straight games.
