STOCK UP
The Cleveland Cavaliers have won six straight games and LeBron James is carrying them. During those six games, James is averaging 36 points per game!
The Pistons have won 11 straight and sit at 37-5. Detroit is on pace to win 72 games.
Roger Federer won his seventh career Grand Slam singles title by capturing the Australian Open. He's already halfway to Pete Sampras' record of 14 Slam singles titles. By the way, Federer doesn't turn 25 until August.
Amelie Mauresmo won her first Grand Slam singles title when Justine Henin-Hardenne retired in the second set of the championship match.
Gonzaga's Adam Morrison had back-to-back 40+ point games in wins over San Francisco and Portland.
STOCK DOWN
The University of Indiana men's hoop squad lost to Iowa by 13 and Minnesota by 19 in its last two games. Mike Davis' team has been struggling and look who's coming to Bloomington at the end of the week -- #1 Connecticut.
The New York Knicks are 14-29 after losing by 19 points to the Atlanta Hawks Monday night.
The Pittsburgh Penguins have just one win in their last 13 games.
The Toronto Maple Leafs have two wins in the month of January, but the good news is one came last night in Florida.
Deron Washington stepped on Lee Melchionni late in the Duke-Virginia Tech game last week. Washington did apologize after the game.
