STOCK UP
The Pittsburgh Steelers became the second team to advance to the Super Bowl by winning three straight road playoff games; the 1985 Patriots was the other. Bill Cowher's team prevailed in Denver, so the Bus, Jerome Bettis and company will head to Detroit.
The Seattle Seahawks won the NFC by beating Carolina. Shaun Alexander and Matt Hasselbeck are going to the Super Bowl.
Kobe Bryant scored 81 points against the Raptors, the second-highest performance in NBA history behind Wilt Chamberlain's historic 100.
Pat Summitt got her 900th career win last week. Then her Lady Vols lost at Duke Monday night.
Martina Hingis has made an incredible comeback, advancing to the quarterfinals of the Australian Open. She faces Kim Clijsters next.
Connecticut is the new number one in men's college basketball after the three remaining unbeatens lost Saturday, while the Huskies won a tough game at Louisville.

The official from Conference USA that called a technical foul on Houston coach Tom Penders when he was collapsing at UAB. Come on, how about better judgment! When they learned what happened, they should have rescinded the technical.
American men's tennis is down after Andy Roddick was upset and nobody from the U. S. contingent made the quarterfinals.
Serena Williams was stunned earlier than expected too.
Antonio Davis climbed into the stands and that was a no-no.
Speaking of the New York Knicks, they have dropped five straight and sit in last place at 13-26. It has been a tough first season in the Big Apple for Larry Brown.
Wisconsin was stunned at home by North Dakota State Saturday. The Bison got a $35,000 payday and a bus ride back to Fargo. North Dakota State lost to Utah Valley State a few days earlier.
