STOCK UP: Heat, Suns sweep into second round
Miami Heat, Phoenix Suns – The Heat and the Suns, both top seeds in their respective conferences, scored first-round sweeps. Dwyane Wade and the Heat blew out the New Jersey Nets in four straight, while Steve Nash and the Suns dominated the Memphis Grizzlies. Wade has been showing love to Shaq; meanwhile, the Los Angeles Lakers are nowhere to be found in the playoffs. Thanks, Kobe Bryant, for failing to show love to Shaq!

Baltimore Orioles – The Orioles have won eight straight games. Miguel Tejada and Brian Roberts have been incredible early. Manager Lee Mazzilli's team has a surprising four-game lead in the AL East.

Alex Rodriguez – A-Rod had quite a week, including a three-homer, 10 RBI game vs. the Angels.

Dontrelle Willis – Dontrelle is now 5-0 with a 1.29 ERA for the Florida Marlins. He also has a great personality, which is good for the game.

Justine Henin-Hardenne – Henin-Hardenne has been on fire, winning another tennis tournament over the weekend, continuing her comeback after injury problems.

STOCK DOWN: Yankees keep stumbling
New York Yankees – The Yankees are 10-15 and would be in last place in the AL East if the Tampa Bay Devil Rays had not lost seven in a row. The Yanks and Devil Rays meet Monday night.

Oklahoma baseball coach Larry Cochell – Cochell resigned after making racially insensitive comments to a pair of ESPN broadcasters, Gary Thorne and Kyle Peterson.

Colorado Rockies – The Rockies have lost four straight and the bats have been pretty quiet. Coors Field is a beautiful ballpark, but some things remain the same as Colorado struggles.
