Stock Watch: FAST-GLANCE WEEK IN REVIEW
March 28, 2005 | Dick's Stock Watch provides a fast-glance review of the past week in the world of sports, charting whose stock is up and whose is down ...
STOCK UP: Finally down to four
Louisville, Illinois, North Carolina and Michigan State — They made it to the Final Four. What great games last weekend in the regional finals, three going to overtime!
Pat Summitt — The Tennessee women's basketball coach passed Dean Smith as her Lady Vols moved on to the regional finals. She's now at 881 wins!
Annika Sorenstam — She won the Nabisco Championship, the first LPGA major of the year, by eight strokes.
Reggie Miller — The longtime member of the Indiana Pacers scored his 25,000 career point last week.
STOCK DOWN: Just let them play the game
Detroit fans — Shame on the fans at the Palace who phoned in bomb threats before and during the Pacers-Pistons game. There is no excuse for that.
Barry Bonds — The San Francisco Giants slugger looks like he will miss the first half of the season following another knee surgery.
US soccer team — The men lost to Mexico in a World Cup qualifying match Sunday, 2-1. Bruce Arena's team is still very much in the picture, but a win would have been a big plus.
