Tourney PTPers — Day 1 | Day 2 | Day 3 | Day 4 | Day 5
PLAYER OF THE DAY: Randy Foye, Villanova
In defeat, Foye was absolutely brilliant, keeping the Wildcats in the game 'til the very end. He had 28 points against the team I picked to win it all. In the first half, he made shot after shot as Jay Wright's team led by as many as 12 (21-9).
TEAM OF THE DAY: Michigan State
The Spartans finally beat the Blue Devils after five straight losses to them. Tom Izzo's team did a great job defensively on J. J. Redick. Paul Davis had a big game, scoring 20 points, grabbing 12 boards and helping get Shelden Williams into foul trouble.
COACH OF THE DAY: Bo Ryan, Wisconsin
The Badgers were down by nine at halftime but never gave up. Ryan is the most underappreciated coach in America because he doesn't get the publicity he deserves.
SHOCK OF THE DAY: Michigan State over Duke
It wasn't that stunning given the depth Michigan State enjoys and that was a major factor. It was surprising because a second No. 1 seed went down.
