STOCK UP: Red Sox Reverse the Curse
Boston Red Sox -- The Red Sox swept the St. Louis Cardinals in the World Series and ended the curse. No more chants of 1918, baby!

Pittsburgh Steelers -- The Steelers snapped the New England Patriots' 21-game win streak as Ben Roethlisberger, Duce Staley and Co. won 34-20.

Oklahoma RB Adrian Peterson -- Peterson is trying to become the first freshman to win the Heisman. He ran for 249 yards at Oklahoma State on Saturday.

Vijay Singh -- Singh became the first golfer to win $10 million in one season when he captured the Chrysler Championship.

High School RB Mike Ford -- Sarasota High School RB Mike Ford became the third player in Florida high school history to record seven straight 200-plus yard rushing games, gaining 250 yards while scoring five touchdowns against Palmetto High School.

STOCK DOWN: Cardinals Swept by Sox
St. Louis Cardinals -- The Cardinals were swept by the Red Sox and barely put up a fight.

Minnesota Vikings -- The Vikings were blitzed by the Giants 34-13 at the Metrodome.

Denver Broncos -- The Broncos lost back-to-back games at the Cincinnati Bengals last Monday night and at home to the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday.

Miami, Florida State and Florida -- These three Florida schools all lost on the same Saturday for the first time since 1978. The Hurricanes were stunned by North Carolina while the Seminoles fell to Maryland. The Gators lost to Georgia at the Cocktail Party.

Purdue -- The Boilermakers fell to Northwestern (their third straight loss).
