STOCK UP: Yankees, Red Sox ready for ALCS battle
Yankees and Red Sox -- The New York Yankees and Boston Red Sox made it to the ALCS, as expected. What a battle we'll have starting in the Bronx on Tuesday.

Oklahoma RB Adrian Peterson -- The freshman RB ran for 225 yards as the Sooners beat Texas for the fifth straight time.

Michigan QB Chad Henne -- The freshman QB completed 33-of-49 passes for 328 yards and the winning touchdown in the last minute to beat Minnesota.

New England Patriots -- The Patriots won their 19th straight game, an NFL record, by beating the Miami Dolphins.

Daunte Culpepper -- The Minnesota Vikings QB threw for 396 yards and five touchdowns in an OT win over the Houston Texans.

Army -- The Cadets snapped their 19-game losing streak by beating Cincinnati ... a salute to coach Bobby Ross.

Jenny Thompson -- Thompson won the 50-meter butterfly as part of the final meet in her career.

STOCK DOWN: Tough losses for four football teams
Nebraska -- The 'Huskers had their worst loss in school history, a 70-10 defeat at Texas Tech. Wonder if the fans would like former coach Frank Solich now?

Arizona Cardinals, Seattle Seahawks -- Both teams blew double-digit leads in the fourth quarter in losing to the San Francisco 49ers and St. Louis Rams.

Georgia -- Georgia was upset at home by Tennessee.
