Braves win title again

SPECIAL TO ESPN.COM

Sept. 27, 2004 | Dick's Stock Watch provides a fast-glance review of the past week in the world of sports, charting whose stock is up and whose is down ...

Atlanta Braves -- The Braves have clinched their 13th straight division title. Give manager Bobby Cox, GM John Schuerholz, closer John Smoltz and Co. credit for being winners again!

Peyton Manning and Brett Favre -- Manning and Favre put on quite a show in Indianapolis, combining for nine touchdowns (and zero interceptions) and more than 750 yards as the Indianapolis Colts beat the Green Bay Packers. Manning got the better of it!

Ichiro Suzuki -- Ichiro is up to 251 hits, and he needs seven more to break George Sisler's 1920 record of 257.

Raul Ibanez -- The Seattle Mariners outfielder had six hits in a game earlier this week.

Johan Santana -- The Minnesota Twins starter has been amazing, going 13-0 in his past 14 starts. Nobody wants to face him in the postseason.

Hofstra QB Bobby Seck -- Seck completed 30-of-43 passes for 560 yards and eight touchdowns vs. Rhode Island.

San Francisco Giants -- The Giants lost two out of three at home to the Los Angeles Dodgers over the weekend.

Chicago Cubs -- The Cubs lost two of three to the New York Mets, scoring just seven runs in the three games. Sammy Sosa went 0-for-12 in the series and is in a 5-for-41 slump.

Kansas City Chiefs -- One of the favorites in the AFC, the Chiefs are 0-3 after a home loss to previously winless Houston.

Roy Jones Jr. -- Jones should retire after being knocked out in the ninth round by Glen Johnson on Saturday night in Memphis. Who is Glen Johnson? Wow, Oscar De La Hoya and Roy Jones Jr. knocked out in back-to-back weekends...
