Busy day in San Antonio

SPECIAL TO ESPN.COM

April 5, 2004 | ESPN.com's NCAA Tournament coverage
National Title V-Preview: Georgia Tech-Connecticut

POSTCARD from SAN ANTONIO — It was a great and busy Sunday hanging out with the fans in San Antonio, baby!

The highlight of the day was meeting Academy Award-winning actor Tim Robbins.
The day started early as the ESPN college basketball crew went to the set to do some SportsCenter segments. Afterwards I had an appearance in front of some people from Microsoft and at a restaurant on the Riverwalk called Dick's Last Stand.

While at the Riverwalk, I was able to ride a boat and have a mini-parade and throw some "Rock" basketballs to the fans. Man, did they get into it! They were having as good a time as my family and I were ... it's a shame rain had to stop the fun. Later on I went to Hooters to meet two fans who were winners of a national drawing that gave them a chance to win $50,000 shooting hoops.

But the highlight of the day was meeting Academy Award-winning actor Tim Robbins, three of his sons and his brother on the SportsCenter set. It turns out that Robbins and his family are big Oklahoma State fans and were here to cheer the Cowboys on. It was great spending time with him and very exciting for me to meet him.

Well, before you know it my wonderful trip to San Antonio will be over. I can't wait to watch the championship game Monday night, baby!
