STOCK UP: Bonds, Twins, Love III, Clijsters
Barry Bonds -- Bonds leads the majors in home runs and is closing in on Willie Mays for third on the all-time list. He continues to lead the NL West-leading Giants.
Minnesota Twins -- Watch out for the Twins. While people have been talking about the Cinderella Royals and the White Sox, the Twins have gone 9-3 in their past 12 games to pull to within 2½ games of the first-place Royals.
Davis Love III -- Love III was dominant from start to finish in winning The International golf tournament in Colorado.
Kim Clijsters -- Clijsters is now ranked No. 1 in the world of women's tennis, having passed the injured Serena Williams.
STOCK DOWN: Bliss, Shockey, Mondesi
Dave Bliss and Baylor basketball -- What a terrible tragedy with the death of Patrick Dennehy and also violations within the program. You can't blame school president Robert Sloan for asking for the resignation of Bliss and athletic director Tom Stanton.
Jeremy Shockey -- Giants tight end Jeremy Shockey put his foot in his mouth with comments about Bill Parcells.
Raul Mondesi -- Speaking of putting your foot in your mouth, Raul Mondesi gets a stock down for his comments that ripped the Yankees.
