STOCK UP: Nets, Nowitzki, Funny Cide, Mighty Ducks, Braves
New Jersey Nets -- Give coach Byron Scott and the Nets credit for winning Game 1 of the Eastern Conference finals in Detroit. The Nets pulled out the 76-74 W on a tough Jason Kidd shot with 1.4 seconds left.

Dirk Nowitzki -- The Dallas Mavericks' 7-foot forward scored 30 points while grabbing 19 rebounds as the Mavs beat the Sacramento Kings in Game 7 to advance to the Western Conference finals. Mavs guard Nick Van Exel was super, scintillating and sensational in the series.

Funny Cide -- Funny Cide has won two-thirds of the Triple Crown following an impressive win of almost 10 lengths at the Preakness. Jose Santos has done a great job aboard Funny Cide, so it's off to Belmont to try to win the first Triple Crown in 25 years.

Anaheim Mighty Ducks -- The Mighty Ducks swept the Minnesota Wild as Jean-Sebastien Giguere allowed just one goal in four games.

Atlanta Braves -- The Braves are 27-5 in their past 32 games. No Tom Glavine, no Kevin Millwood, no problem when you have Gary Sheffield, Andruw Jones, Chipper Jones and company.

Adam Dunn -- The Cincinnati Reds' outfielder already has 16 home runs this season!

STOCK DOWN: Lakers, Yankees, Pettitte, Padres
Los Angeles Lakers -- The Lakers had Kobe and Shaq but not much else as they went down to defeat 110-82 at home in Game 6. It was the margin of defeat that was so surprising.

New York Yankees -- The Yankees are suddenly tied for first in the AL East. The Bronx Bombers are 4-8 in their past 12 games. After opening 18-3, the Yankees are 9-13 in their past 22 games.

Andy Pettitte -- The Yankees' starter has also been in Struggle City. After opening 3-0, he is 1-4 with a 5.10 ERA since.

San Diego Padres -- The Padres are 3-18 in their past 21 games.
