Dick's Stock Watch identifies whose stock is up and whose is down over the past week across the world of sports.

STOCK UP: Palmeiro, Shaq and Kobe, Reds, Mighty Ducks, Mulder
Rafael Palmeiro -- The Texas Rangers first baseman is a lock for the Hall of Fame. He became the 19th player to hit 500 home runs. Getting 500 home runs, 3,000 hits or 300 wins should guarantee entry into the Hall. Don't tell me that he hasn't won anything -- the game is won by 25 players, not one. Palmeiro has been consistent over the years and he has handled the true test of time. His overall numbers are incredible.
Shaq and Kobe -- Shaquille O'Neal and Kobe Bryant have the Los Angeles Lakers back in their Western semifinal series against the San Antonio Spurs, even at 2-2. They were brilliant against the Spurs on Sunday.
Cincinnati Reds -- The Reds have bounced back after a slow start and now are at the .500 mark.
Anaheim Mighty Ducks -- The Mighty Ducks shut out the Minnesota Wild 1-0 in Game 1 of the Western Conference finals.
Mark Mulder -- The Oakland Athletics' starter is 6-1, including five straight wins and three consecutive complete games.
STOCK DOWN: NCAA, Celtics, Marlins, Indians
The NCAA -- The NCAA penalized Michigan with another year of a postseason ban. It isn't right to penalize the current players and coaches for something that happened a decade ago. This group was hurt last year by sitting out the postseason as part of the school's self-imposed penalty. But the NCAA said it wasn't enough.
Boston Celtics -- The Celtics are down 3-0 to the New Jersey Nets, and Antoine Walker is having problems with the fans in Boston.
Florida Marlins -- I can't believe the Marlins fired my buddy, manager Jeff Torborg. This team has been plagued by injuries to the pitching staff.
Cleveland Indians -- What has happened to the Indians? Cleveland is now 11-25.
