STOCK UP: Duncan, Stockton, Pistons, Funny Cide
Tim Duncan -- The Spurs center won his second straight MVP because of his hard work and consistency. But I feel that the Spurs will lose in six games to the Los Angeles Lakers in the Western Conference semifinals.

John Stockton -- Where were the experts and talent evaluators 19 years ago when the Jazz point guard came out of Gonzaga? Stockton holds NBA records for assists (15,000-plus) and steals (3,000-plus). He has won two Olympic gold medals. Without question, he's a Hall of Famer.

Detroit Pistons -- Coach Rick Carlisle and sharpshooting Chauncey Billups led the Pistons back from a 3-1 series deficit. Next the Pistons face the Sixers in the Eastern Conference semifinals.

Funny Cide -- The Kentucky Derby winner was the first gelding to win the race in 74 years.

STOCK DOWN: Eustachy, Price, Hornets, NBA playoff losers
Larry Eustachy and Mike Price -- Price has already lost his job as Alabama's football coach, while Eustachy could lose his job as Iowa State's basketball coach. Both coaches exhibited poor judgment and displayed a lack of responsibility and leadership.

New Orleans Hornets -- How could the Hornets fire coach Paul Silas ... are you kidding me? He led the Hornets to four straight trips to playoffs and had a 208-155 record. He manages his team well, and his players like him and respect him. Shame on the Hornets.

Indiana Pacers -- The Pacers lost three games by double figures in their 4-2 series loss to the Boston Celtics.

Minnesota Timberwolves -- After their 4-2 series loss to the Lakers, the T-Wolves are 0-7 lifetime in the playoffs.

Orlando Magic -- Give credit to Doc Rivers, who is a great coach, and superstar Tracy McGrady, but the Magic did blow a 3-1 series lead to the Pistons.
