| Dick Vitale and his granddaughter, Sydney, say "hi" to It's Awesome Baby. |
I had the time of my life at Niall Brennan Stables in Ocala, Florida. I have purchased a 2-year-old colt with a group that includes Louisville coach Rick Pitino. My family and I recently checked out the horse, which is named It's Awesome Baby.
The grey colt has some impressive bloodlines -- from Danzig, one of the outstanding studs in Lexington, Ky., as well as connections to Secretariat and Alydar.
The horse looks great. It's Awesome Baby will train under the direction of Cam Gambolati, who saddled up Spend A Buck to the 1985 Kentucky Derby championship.
Vance Fillingame, the trainer center manager of Brennan Stables, showed me around when I visited Ocala. I was introduced to the world of horse racing and took pictures with the horse.
Now I want pictures of me with It's Awesome Baby in the winner's circle! It was great to be with the beautiful people from Brennan Stables.

| Here's lookin' at you, It's Awesome Baby. |
And let me tell you, anything that Pitino is part of, I want to be part of. We're partners with two of his buddies in the ownership of It's Awesome Baby. Pitino has the magic touch in the horse-racing world after being part-owner of AP Valentine in the 2001 Kentucky Derby.
I had a blast April 11 as the keynote speaker at the kickoff festival for this year's Kentucky Derby, which features 75 events leading up to the race. And I hope to come back to the Derby a year from now -- with It's Awesome Baby as a contender to win the race!
I can't wait to see this horse running at Saratoga and Churchill Downs next year as a 3-year-old.
Will It's Awesome Baby be at the Derby next year? Who knows ... you can never tell, baby!
