Dick's Stock Watch identifies whose stock is up and whose is down over the past week across the world of sports.
STOCK UP: KG, Vince Carter, Tubby Smith, Tom Izzo, David West, Kobe
Kevin Garnett -- It was a special night for Michael Jordan at the All-Star game, but it was Kevin Garnett who took center stage as the MVP. The Timberwolves star scored 37 points and made several key plays in the second overtime as the West beat the East.
Vince Carter -- Carter finally gave way and passed up his starting spot to Jordan in the Eastern Conference lineup.
Tubby Smith -- Smith has done a tremendous job in leading the Kentucky into national championship contention. The Wildcats were impressive in big wins over Florida and Mississippi.
Tom Izzo -- Tom Izzo has rallied Michigan State. The Spartans had a pair of big victories last week, knocking off Illinois and Indiana.
David West -- West had a superstar performance for Xavier against Dayton on Saturday. The big man on campus scored 47 points and grabbed 18 rebounds in an important Atlantic 10 win over the Flyers.
Kobe Bryant -- Bryant has been playing like a superstar just before the All-Star break. He scored 46 points against the Knicks and posted five straight games of 35 or more points.
STOCK DOWN: Pat Riley, Indiana, Alabama
Pat Riley -- I would love his hand-me-down clothes, but come on, stop arguing about the guys in the striped shirts! Riley has been ripping the refs too much!
Indiana -- What has gone wrong with the Hoosiers? Mike Davis' team has lost five in a row and the schedule isn't getting any easier. Could Indiana miss the NCAA tournament after 17 straight years in the big dance?
Alabama -- Then there is the Crimson Tide, a team ranked No. 1 after a 9-0 start to the season. 'Bama is sitting at 3-6 in SEC play and is also in danger of missing out on a ticket to March Madness.
