Two Lukes Lead Ducks

SPECIAL TO ESPN.COM

Dec. 9
Dick's Stock Watch identifies whose stock is up and whose is down over the past week across the world of sports.

Oregon has the two Lukes on the hardwood -- Luke Ridnour and Luke Jackson -- and they keyed a big win by the Ducks over Kansas this past weekend. These two guys can flat-out play as they combined for 51 big points.

Coker
How about a salute to the University of Miami football team and coach Larry Coker! Two straight unbeaten regular seasons, capped off by an offensive explosion against Virginia Tech. Willis McGahee scored six touchdowns in the victory over the Hokies. If you asked people who the Miami coach was, too many wouldn't know it's Coker, who has done a phenomenal job in his two seasons there.

QB Jason Gesser showed a lot of courage playing hurt in leading Washington State past UCLA. The Cougars' QB next faces Oklahoma in the Rose Bowl.

The New York Mets made a big splash in the free-agent market by signing starter Tom Glavine away from the Braves. He will really bolster the Mets' starting staff, joining Al Leiter.

Navy QB Craig Candeto made some noise with six touchdowns in the 58-12 victory over Army.

When are the Chicago Bulls going to steady the ship and return to being a consistent winner? Times have been tough in the Windy City for the Bulls.

The Cincinnati basketball team simply couldn't score against Xavier. Coach Bob Huggins' Bearcats were held to just 44 points in the Crosstown Shootout loss to the Musketeers.

Miami Heat coach Pat Riley has to be wondering where his team's offense is, too. The Heat scored 69 points against Portland and 71 versus Seattle in losses over the weekend.

Michael Vick looked sick against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. So many people talked about him as an MVP candidate, but he was really shut down by the Bucs' defense. Coach Jon Gruden has done a great job instilling confidence in the Bucs.
