Dick's Stock Watch identifies whose stock is up and whose is down over the past week across the world of sports.
STOCK UP: Iowa and Iowa State, Bledsoe, Green
Fans in Iowa have to be happy with their college football teams. The Iowa State Cyclones did a great job against Nebraska, as QB Seneca Wallace led his team to a big-time W. Plus, coach Kirk Ferentz and the Iowa Hawkeyes beat Penn State for the third straight year, but not without a battle as coach Joe Paterno's Nittany Lions came back to send the game to overtime. Iowa QB Brad Banks kept his concentration, helping Iowa prevail in overtime.

| Bledsoe |
QB Drew Bledsoe is off to a terrific start for the Bills. He completed 28-of-36 passes for 328 yards and four touchdowns as Buffalo beat Chicago in overtime.
QB Trent Green also had a phenomenal Sunday, throwing five touchdown passes as the Chiefs put up 48 points against a Dolphins team that gave up a total of 37 points in its first three games.
I hate to say it, but give the European Ryder Cup team credit for beating the American squad. Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson and company couldn't get it done. Colin Montgomerie was brilliant, and the U.S. squad went home with a loss.
STOCK DOWN: Nebraska, Florida State, Ramirez, Pedro
What happened to the Nebraska and Florida State football teams? The Cornhuskers fell out of the rankings for the first time in 348 weeks following their loss to Iowa State. The Seminoles lost at Louisville on Thursday, and I don't care how bad the weather was -- Florida State's second- and third-stringers used to score against teams like the Cardinals. This tells me that these two programs are sliding a bit.
Boston Red Sox slugger Manny Ramirez didn't start Sunday against Tampa Bay and came in as a pinch hitter, preserving his AL batting title. To me, a guy making around $20 million should be in the lineup. Pedro Martinez sat out the final week of the season and he has a five-month vacation coming up. What does that say to all the people carrying their lunch bucket every day to work?
The New York Jets have been a major disappointment. They've been outscored 102-13 over the last three games. Coach Herman Edwards' team is in deep trouble right now.
