Keep an eye on the Astros

SPECIAL TO ESPN.COM

July 15
Dick's Stock Watch identifies whose stock is up and whose is down over the past week across the world of sports.

The Houston Astros have won 11 of 14 games to make a run in the NL Central. Houston has the Killer B's in Craig Biggio, Lance Berkman and Jeff Bagwell. Keep an eye on the 'Stros as they challenge the Cardinals and Reds.

Jamie Moyer goes out and simply performs as a professional. The Mariners veteran pitcher does a super job and gets very little publicity. Hey, the guy won 20 games last year and with a little luck would make a run at that mark this season.

Alex Rodriguez has 31 home runs to lead the major leagues. He goes out and plays hard day in and day out, even in a tough environment to play in since the Rangers are not in contention in the Al West. A guy like Allen Iverson could learn a lot from the professional attitude of A-Rod and Derek Jeter.

When is Allen Iverson going to grow up? I know that he's innocent until proven guilty, but he has to be responsible for his actions and behavior. Iverson has had good people backing him up over the years, guys like John Thompson and Larry Brown, yet he simply continues to show questionable judgment.

The Florida Marlins are in the middle of another fire sale, baby! Cliff Floyd and Ryan Dempster get shipped out and you wonder why they draw 6,000 or so a game? It seems to me like they have given up.
