Dick's Stock Watch identifies whose stock is up and whose is down over the past week across the world of sports.
STOCK UP: Webber, Red Wings, Agassi
Chris Webber has posted four straight double-doubles, and the Sacramento Kings have jumped to a 3-1 lead over the Dallas Mavericks. Webber has been tough to stop, scoring 30-plus points and grabbing 10-plus rebounds each of the last two games. I see Sacramento giving the Los Angeles Lakers some trouble if they meet in the Western Conference finals. I think L.A. will have a tough time stopping Webber. I know that the Kings could have trouble with Shaq and Kobe.
I don't know much about hockey, but the Detroit Red Wings have been hot. After losing their first two games against the Vancouver Canucks, Detroit has won eight of nine games to make it to the Western Conference final.
I love Andre Agassi's hairstyle, baby! Andre was impressive in winning the Italian Open, preparing for the upcoming French Open. Agassi blew out Tommy Haas in the Italian Open championship.
STOCK DOWN: Iverson, Pistons, Avs, Hudson
Allen Iverson ... Allen Iverson ... Allen Iverson. I am tired of this story. A superstar should be able to make it to practice when he's making $10 million per year.
What's wrong with the Detroit Pistons? They've scored less than 80 points in three straight games (64 in a loss Friday to Boston). Jerry Stackhouse and company have to pick it up or it's off to the sidelines.
The Colorado Avalanche are struggling. The defending Stanley Cup champions have lost twice at home and trail the San Jose Sharks 3-2.
Tim Hudson of the Oakland Athletics was expected to be one of the top candidates for the Cy Young. But he's 1-4 with a 4.58 ERA in his last five starts.
