I can't believe Cincinnati center Donald Little is in trouble again. When will he learn from his off-court mistakes? This time police have charged him with kidnapping and assault.

| It appears center Donald Little won't be dunking for Cincinnati any more. |
So upon returning from the Final Four, Bearcats coach Bob Huggins had to deal with more of Little's problems. Hearing that his starting center was arrested must have blown Huggins' mind.
According to reports, Huggins had a meeting with Little before going to the Final Four to discuss several areas for Little to work on -- academics, physical conditioning, potential graduation and potential courses towards a master's degree. Huggins sent a message to his center, according to insiders -- do the right thing! So what was the kid thinking?
I know that lots of people blame coaches, but when are the players going to be held accountable? They have to look in the mirror and be held responsible for their actions. It comes down to immaturity and poor decision-making. You're innocent until proven guilty, but how many chances can you give a kid?
This time, I don't believe we'll see Little return to wear a Cincinnati uniform. Last year, he was kicked off the team and then given the opportunity to return. He met certain provisions and took advantage of the chance to play -- and he showed potential during the Bearcats' 31-4 season. Athletics director Bob Goin said the final decision on Little's future will come after the legal process has run its course.
When will Little learn? He led Cincinnati in blocked shots and averaged 6.9 rebounds and 7.1 points per game. Little could have been a big factor next year with potential super soph Jason Maxiell up front. I look for Maxiell to take off and have a breakthrough season in 2002-03 (as UConn's Caron Butler and Indiana's Jared Jeffries did in their 2001-02 sophomore seasons).
I'm sure people will be screaming about Huggins. But these kids are not 7 or 8 years old. They have to make better decisions and do what's right. Little can't seem to get it! It's time for him to grow up.
