Each week I'll recognize some sensational performances of unsung players...
PLAYERS
Ronald Blackshear, Marshall -- Blackshear has bounced around from school to school but is now having a major impact with the Thundering Herd. He scored 40 points in a loss to Eastern Michigan last week, came through with the winning shot against Ball State on Saturday and averaged 30 points per game in three games last week.
Chris Williams, Ball State -- He had a monster game against Miami of Ohio, scoring 39 points in a win over the RedHawks.
Derrick Tarver, Akron -- Came up with 43 points in a heartbreaking, 99-92 loss to Central Michigan.
Ra'Kim Hollis, Texas Southern -- The Tigers' standout scored 40 points, including a key three-pointer in overtime, in a 104-100 win over Prairie View.
Radee Skipworth, VMI -- The 6-6 forward from Hersey, Pa., has stepped in and picked up the scoring slack after Jason Conley's departure, combining for 70 against Eastern Tennessee State and Wofford.
Henry Domercant, Eastern Illinois -- He was held to 16 points on Saturday but totaled 75 points in games against Southeast Missouri State and Eastern Kentucky earlier in the week.
