Recognizing some unsung heroes and their sensational performances...
Willie Green, Detroit -- The senior guard had an outstanding week for the Titans. He set a record for most points by an opposing player at Illinois-Chicago when he scored 43. Green followed that up with a 31-point effort in a win over Western Kentucky.
Thomas Trotter, Maryland-Eastern Shore -- Against Howard last week, Trotter pumped in 42 points, including 7-of-14 3-pointers in a loss.
Terrence Woods, Florida A&M -- Woods was on fire in Saturday's victory over North Carolina A&T, hitting 11-of-16 trifectas and finishing with 38 points.
Taylor Coppenrath, Vermont -- The 6-9 sophomore forward scored 38 points (15-of-20 from the field) and grabbed 11 rebounds in a win over New Hampshire last week.
Cedrick Banks, Illinois-Chicago -- Banks scored 33 points against Wright State, hitting 13-of-18 field goals (including all five 3-point attempts).
Coach Danny Kaspar, Stephen F. Austin -- Kaspar has his team unbeaten in the Southland Conference.
