PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Ruben Douglas, New Mexico
Ruben Douglas, a transfer from Arizona, has been one of the nation's top scorers all season long.
Douglas scored 43 points in a loss to San Diego State, followed by a 39-point, 14-rebound effort in an upset of Utah. He hit an incredible 26-of-31 free throws against the Utes.

COACH OF THE WEEK:
Jim Phelan, Mount St. Mary's
It's time to salute the bow tie, baby! I wore one on my telecast of the Kansas-Oklahoma State game Saturday.
Jim Phelan, the bow-tie wearing coach, is a beautiful person, a class act and a winner. He finished his coaching career with 830 big Ws, trailing only Dean Smith and Adolph Rupp.
Phelan went out on top as his team beat Central Connecticut State on Saturday in his finale.
CO-TEAMS OF THE WEEK:
Arizona and Illinois
Coach Lute Olson's team went unbeaten in Pac-10 road games by beating California and Stanford, two difficult opponents.
The Illini fared well with a blowout at home against Indiana, followed by a nail-biter at Michigan.
DIAPER DANDY OF THE WEEK: Carmelo Anthony, Syracuse
Carmelo Anthony has been the diaper dandy of the season in my book, and he simply added to his great numbers in a pair of victories.
Anthony posted 24 points and 10 boards against West Virginia. He followed that up with 30 points and 15 rebounds against Georgetown and Michael Sweetney in an OT thriller.
CO-SHOCKS OF THE WEEK:
St. John's over Duke and LSU over Tennessee
The Red Storm had slipped to a .500 overall record (and 5-9 in Big East play) prior to the nonconference contest with Duke at Madison Square Garden. St. John's trailed 71-60 before scoring the game's last 12 points to get the W. Marcus Hatten had 29 points, including the game-winning free throw with no time left on the clock.
LSU's win at Tennessee was coach John Brady's first SEC road win of the season. Winning by 21 points (88-67) was the real shock. The Tigers hit 17-of-27 3-pointers in handing the Vols their fourth straight loss.
