STOCK UP
• The Celtics and Lakers made it to the NBA finals. Wow, it should be an amazing series with plenty of star power. Think about it, Kobe, Gasol, Pierce, Garnett, Ray Allen. Will Phil Jackson add ring number 10?

• Manny Ramirez joined the 500-homer club. He should be a lock for the Hall of Fame anyway when you break down his numbers.

• Usain Bolt shattered the world record in the 100-meters with a 9.72.

• Reds rookie Jay Bruce has 13 hits in his first 22 at-bats.

• The Red Wings moved into a 3-1 series lead over the Penguins in the Stanley Cup final.

• Syracuse won the NCAA men's lacrosse championship.

STOCK DOWN
• Venus and Serena Williams were knocked out of the French Open in the third round.

• The Colorado Rockies have lost seven straight games. Clint Hurdle's team, the NL champions a year ago, are a major-league worst 17 games below .500.

• Detroit pitcher Justin Verlander is 2-8 with a 5.16 ERA.
