Once again, the tandem of Derrick Rose and Chris Douglas-Roberts were absolutely brilliant. Memphis can beat you on the dribble and it was too much for a tough UCLA team. Memphis attacks you and gets out in break situations.
The defensive play of Memphis was outstanding as well. Kevin Love was contained and did not get many touches inside.
Darren Collison had a terrific season but he was an absolute non-factor against the Tigers. He ended up fouling out for the Bruins.
Free throw shooting, which was supposed to be an Achilles heel, was a non-issue once again. Memphis hit nine of their first 10 from the line and was not challenged in the latter stages of the second half.
John Calipari's team has been playing outstanding basketball and now the Tigers will go for their first national title Monday night.
