The second day of the NCAA tournament's second round had some interesting results. It is time to dole out some awards:
TEAM OF THE DAY: North Carolina
The Tar Heels had back-to-back 100-plus points first two games of the tournament. North Carolina beat a solid Arkansas team easily on Sunday.
SHOCK OF THE DAY: Davidson over Georgetown
Stephen Curry and Jason Richards combined for 50 of the team's 74 points in the shocker of Georgetown. Davidson committed just five turnovers (compared to 20 by Georgetown).
PLAYERS OF THE DAY: Stephen Curry, Davidson and Courtney Lee, Western Kentucky
Curry had just five points in the first half against Georgetown. He exploded for 25 in the second half.
Lee hit eight-of-11 from the field in the first half against San Diego. He finished with 29 points as the Hilltoppers moved on to the Sweet 16.
COACH OF THE DAY: Rick Pitino, Louisville
His Cardinals rolled over Oklahoma in the second round match-up. Now Louisville takes on Tennessee in the Sweet 16.
