Well the NCAA Tournament selection committee has put together its 34 at-large bids to fill out the field of 65. My friends it is not an easy job and this year there were more bubble teams than any year since seeding began.
Every year you will find a couple of teams that have a valid complaint after being left out. That doesn't make it easier for Virginia Tech, VCU, Ohio State, Arizona State, Illinois State or Massachusetts.
I was surprised that Arizona State and Virginia Tech were left out. The Sun Devils had five quality wins and finished .500 in the Pac-10. They also had a sweep over Arizona and a better league record.
Seth Greenberg's team beat Miami in the ACC tourney and the Hurricanes are a No. 7 seed. Virginia Tech lost a heartbreaker to North Carolina in Charlotte but took it all the way to the wire. That apparently was not good enough for the committe and the Hokies certainly had a legit case.
Now the 65-team field is set so the fun begins.
