COACH OF THE WEEK: Mike Krzyzewski, Duke
He led the No. 2 ranked Blue Devils to a big win at Chapel Hill over the Tar Heels of North Carolina. His Dukies then went home and defeated Boston College by 10, rallying from a halftime deficit to get into the winner's circle.
TEAM OF THE WEEK:Maryland
Gary Williams' Terps came through with a big performance down at Chapel Hill, upsetting the No. 1 Tar Heels, 82-80. James Gist posted a double-double and the Terps made All-Solid Gold star Tyler Hansbrough work for every point. Williams has had a history of getting his team to focus for challenges of this magnitude. Maryland also scored an important ACC win over Wake Forest earlier in the week.
DIAPER DANDY OF THE WEEK: Michael Beasley, Kansas State
Seems like a broken record but Beasley is a legit candidate for national Player of the Year honors as well. He had 35 points and 13 rebounds against Nebraska; Beasley scored 23 points while pulling down 13 boards against Oklahoma State.
SHOCK OF THE WEEK:Washington over UCLA
The Huskies entered with a 3-7 record in the Pac-10. Washington snapped a four-game losing streak, stunning a top 10 Bruins squad, 71-61. Justin Dentmon had 20 points in the upset.
