STOCK UP
•The Seahawks, Jaguars, Giants and Chargers advanced in the NFL playoffs.
•Big bowl performances by a couple of running backs: Missouri's Tony Temple ran for 281 yards and four touchdowns in the Cotton Bowl. Rutgers star Ray Rice ran for 280 yards and four scores in the International Bowl.
•Lloyd Carr got a great retirement present when Michigan upset Florida.
•The Boston Celtics have won nine straight games, including a big win at Detroit Saturday.
•Robbie Maddison set a world record for his motorcycle jump on New Year's Eve in Las Vegas.
STOCK DOWN
•Oklahoma was blown out by West Virginia at the Fiesta Bowl.
•Lamar Odom and Zach Randolph each received one-game suspensions from the NBA for on-court incidents.
•The Knicks have lost seven straight games and sit at 8-24.
•Brian Billick and Cam Cameron were given pink slips.
