World Series talk

SPECIAL TO ESPN.COM

Wow, the Red Sox came back from a 3-1 deficit to win the ALCS! Now it is off to the World Series against the Cinderella Rockies. Colorado has been absolutely on fire, winning all seven playoff games so far.

My friends, Boston has the homefield advantage thanks to the AL winning the All-Star game. The Red Sox open the World Series at Fenway on Wednesday night and you know the place will be jumping. Boston has all the momentum in the world after the amazing comeback. Wow, the World Series could run all the way to November 1 (that is when Game 7 would take place).

I am not an expert like Peter Gammons, but I have an opinion. Colorado has been sitting around and waiting to see which team would advance from the AL. I feel that too much rest is a disadvantage that will be a factor early. Experience is another edge favoring Boston. Guys like Curt Schilling, Josh Beckett, Manny Ramirez and David Ortiz have felt this pressure before and enjoyed success.

Beckett has been Mr. Clutch in the postseason and he should get Boston off to a good start.

I like the Red Sox to win the World Series in six games.
