• Josh Beckett of the Red Sox became the first 20-game winner of the season. He had a great turnaround after posting an ERA over five last season.

• Brett Favre tied the NFL record for career touchdown passes as the Packers moved to a surprising 3-0.

• Donovan McNabb, Kevin Curtis and Brian Westbrook starred as the Eagles put up 56 points on the Lions.

• The Pats, Steelers and Colts are all 3-0 in the AFC. The Cowboys were impressive in a win over Chicago Sunday night.

• The U. S. Davis Cup team beat Sweden to advance to the finals.

• The U. S. women's World Cup soccer team moved on with a 3-0 win over England. • Oklahoma football is the real deal after an impressive win last Friday over Tulsa.

STOCK DOWN
• Louisville football is struggling after a home loss to Syracuse. Where has the Cardinals defense gone?

• Notre Dame football is 0-4 for the first time ever.

• The St. Louis Rams fell to 0-3 after a loss to the Bucs.

• The Saints are also 0-3 after losing on Monday Night Football.

• The San Diego Chargers are a surprising 1-2.
