STOCK WATCH: Fast-Glance Week in Review

STOCK UP
• Appalachian State scored a huge upset, beating Michigan at the Big House in Ann Arbor. Jerry Moore's team hung on with a blocked field goal in the final seconds.

• Team USA hoops made some big noise in the FIBA Americas tournament. The red, white and blue will be playing in the Olympics in Beijing, trying to bring back the gold to the U.S.

• Clay Buchholz threw a no-hitter for the Red Sox in just his second career start. Wow, that was the third no-hitter in the AL this season (Jason Verlander and Mark Buehrle had the first two).

• Tyson Gay was dominating at the World Track and Field championships, winning three gold medals in all.

STOCK DOWN

• Rodney Harrison admitted using Human Growth Hormone and got a four-game suspension from the NFL.

• University of Texas wide receiver Billy Pittman was suspended for three games for breaking amateur rules by borrowing a friend's car.

• The Seattle Mariners have fallen apart, dropping nine straight games. Now the M's go to face the Yankees in the Bronx in a tough series.

• The Wolverines of Maize and Blue fame lost at home to Appalachian State, one of the biggest college football shockers ever. It is back to the drawing board for Lloyd Carr and company.

• The O's have lost 11 of their last 12 games, getting outscored 119-49.
