Bonds breaks record

SPECIAL TO ESPN.COM

August 13, 2007 | Dick's Stock Watch provides a fast-glance review of the past week in the world of sports, charting whose stock is up and whose is down.

STOCK UP
• Barry Bonds broke Hank Aaron's record with home run No. 756. Bonds has kept going and hit a few more after that.

• Tiger Woods won his first major of the year, dominating at the PGA Championship. It's his 13th career major, just five away from tying Jack Nicklaus' record of 18.

• Rick Ankiel made a remarkable comeback to the majors, hitting a home run in his first game back with the Cardinals. Then he hit two more dingers vs. the Dodgers on Saturday.

• Pitchers John Lackey of the Angels and Josh Beckett of the Red Sox each got to 15 wins.

• Novak Djokovic upset Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer to win the tournament in Montreal.

• Detroit Tigers' outfielder Magglio Ordonez hit two home runs in the same inning.

STOCK DOWN

• Jeremy Bonderman of the Tigers has struggled lately, going 0-4 with an 11.28 ERA in his last four starts.

• Tennessee Titans coach Jeff Fisher suspended quarterback Vince Young for one game for violating a team rule. Young sat out Saturday vs. the Redskins.

• The Indians had a tough time against the Yankees, getting swept at home.

• Eric Gagne has struggled since coming to the Red Sox, allowing seven runs in four innings over seven games with Boston.
