All-Conference Super Sevens

SPECIAL TO ESPN.COM

March 7, 2007

DICKIE V's ALL-CONFERENCE AWARDS 2007 SUPER SEVENS
It was not easy deciding on the ACC Player of the Year. You could make a case for several people, but I went with Jared Dudley because Boston College lost Sean Williams and still remained a contender in the conference. Seth Greenberg did a great job with the Hokies. Aaron Gray did a super job inside for the Panthers. Mike Brey gets the nod over John Thompson III and John Beilein for the Big East Coach of the Year.

I went with Michigan State's Tom Izzo as Big Ten Coach of the Year because of the talent he lost. The Spartans are a 20-game winner despite losing Maurice Ager, Paul Davis and Shannon Brown. Tony Bennett did a remarkable job in Pullman, Wash. The Cougars were picked ninth or 10th in preseason conference polls, depending on which one you looked at. Darren Collison is an outstanding player who doesn't always get enough publicity.

My SEC team was tough to pick because I could easily have had four Gators on the squad. Give Richard Hendrix some love for a solid season.
