PLAYER OF THE WEEK: DJ White, Indiana
He had a pair of solid games in wins over Iowa and Connecticut. He posted a double-double vs. the Hawkeyes, scoring 23 points while grabbing 12 rebounds. White had 21 points in a victory at Connecticut.
CO-TEAM OF THE WEEK: North Carolina and Vanderbilt
After losing at Virginia Tech the previous week, Roy Williams' squad regained focus and scored a pair of double-figure wins against good competition. North Carolina rolled a couple of sevens, scoring 77 in both wins. The Tar Heels beat Clemson, 77-55, and Georgia Tech, 77-61. The Commodores rolled over Alabama and shocked Kentucky at Rupp Arena.
COACH OF THE WEEK: Jay Wright, Villanova
The Wildcats came up with a couple of big wins, beating Notre Dame and Texas. The latter came with leading scorer Curtis Sumpter on the sidelines.
DIAPER DANDY OF THE WEEK: Scottie Reynolds, Villanova
He had a pair of outstanding performances, finishing with 27 points against the Irish and 26 more against the Longhorns.
SHOCK OF THE WEEK: Vanderbilt over Kentucky
The Commodores snapped Kentukcy's 11-game win streak with a 72-67 stunner at Rupp Arena. Derrick Byars scored 23 points to life Kevin Stallings' club to a big W!
