PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Brandon Roy, Washington

He had a pair of outstanding performances, scoring 35 in a win over Arizona State and 35 in a double-overtime loss to Arizona. Against the Wildcats, Roy hit a 3-pointer to send the game into overtime, and another trifecta to extend the contest to a second overtime.

TEAM OF THE WEEK: California

The Golden Bears swept a pair of Pac-10 road games, winning at USC and UCLA. Leon Powe and California made a major statement with those Ws.

COACH OF THE WEEK: Jamie Dixon, Pittsburgh

The Panthers remained unbeaten with a win at South Carolina and a home victory over a tough, physical Wisconsin squad. Dixon has done a nice job blending in veterans like Carl Krauser with youngsters that have contributed.

DIAPER DANDY OF THE WEEK: Sam Young, Pittsburgh

He came through with a number of key baskets in the wins over South Carolina and Wisconsin. Young finished with 16 points in each game.

SHOCK OF THE WEEK: Elon over Clemson

The Phoenix came in with a 2-9 record, neither victories against Division I opponents. The Tigers were 11-1 and a big favorite playing at Littlejohn Coliseum.

Elon 74, Clemson 69.

The Phoenix had five players in double figures in the shocking victory.
