Chargers to work out Vick, Brees

PALM DESERT, Calif. -- The San Diego Chargers get a serious look this week at the draft's top two quarterbacks when they visit privately with Michael Vick and Drew Brees.

Chargers coach Mike Riley and offensive coordinator Norv Turner will head the contingent to first meet with Brees on Thursday and then Vick on Friday. Both quarterbacks will go through an intensive skull session, and then take that work to the practice field.

Vick is still the odds-on favorite to be the Chargers' No. 1 pick. He has been working with former NFL assistant Zeke Bartkowski to prepare for his workout.

Brees had an impressive workout last week at Purdue that eased concerns after a disappointing showing at the Indianapolis combine.

The Chargers also met privately with Washington QB Marques Tuiasosopo.
