The two biggest names in women's boxing will meet in the ring Aug. 23 in Mississippi.

Laila Ali, daughter of Muhammad Ali, and Christy Martin will fight in a scheduled 10-round bout in Biloxi, promoters said Sunday.

Ali, who on June 21 stopped Valerie Mahfood in the eighth round on the Lennox Lewis-Vitali Klitschko undercard, is 15-0 with 12 knockouts. Martin, who helped women's boxing gain attention in the late 1990s, is 45-2-2 with 30 knockouts.

Martin last fought in December when she won a decision over Mia St. John.
