ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. -- Unbeaten middleweight Jermain Taylor won his 11th straight bout Saturday night, posting a unanimous 10-round decision over Sam Hill. The fight was on the undercard of heavyweight David Tua's first-round knockout of Michael Moorer. Taylor, a bronze medalist at the 2000 Olympics, overpowered Hill from the start, landing three solid overhand rights in the first round and forcing the action from then on. Though he never knocked Hill down, the 24-year-old Taylor peppered him with two- and three-punch combinations throughout the fight. The 32-year-old Hill, a St. Louis police officer who calls himself "The Punching Policeman,'' looked like he was asleep on the beat: He threw fewer punches (274) than Hill landed (279), according to CompuBox punch statistics kept at ringside. His performance elicited boos and chants of "Boring!'' from the crowd at Trump Taj Mahal Casino Resort. Taylor said afterward that Hill should have been disqualified for not putting up a better fight. "I think he was just here for the payday,'' Taylor said. "I hate fighters like that. They make you look bad.'' Asked why he couldn't hurt Hill, Taylor said he was a good opponent with a durable chin. Hill, who didn't turn pro until he was 27 but made a name for himself by upsetting David Reid last November, dropped to 15-3-1. "I couldn't find my rhythm all night,'' Hill said. "It was just a bad day for me.''
